recently introduced Jeff Murdy as the
Northern New England Territory Manager
for wholesale fuels. He brings over 25 years
of industry experience.
He is a Board member
of the Maine Energy
Marketer’s Assoc. and
the New Hampshire Oil
Heat Council. Jeff is a
Maine Maritime Academy
graduate with a Masters
degree from Husson University. With a
focus on wholesale fuel sales, Jeff will
manage Burke’s fuel products and pricing
for Maine, New Hampshire, and Northern
Massachusetts.

M&G DuraVent recently released their
second quarter 2013-2014 product catalog
update. The product catalog, literature
number L820, has been updated (web
version only) and posted on the company
website
. New product
offerings or changes to existing products
will feature red text next to the product
name identifying the change and/or addi-
tion to the product.
Featuring more than 4000 items, the
306-page, full-color glossy catalog is a com-
plete resource guide for information about
the M&G DuraVent company and product
offerings, including product images, illustra-
tions, and descriptions; typical installation
configurations; product ordering details;
and warranty and technical information.

Caleffi is kicking off a year-long pro-
gram named “Caleffi Excellence” intended
to encourage designers and installers of
hydronic or plumbing systems to showcase
their work and receive national recognition.
Beginning this month and continuing for a
year Caleffi is asking designers, contractors
and engineers to submit their proudest

contest.
For each of four quarters Caleffi will

CITGO HONORED WITH 2013 ILTA
SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD
The International Liquid Terminals
Association (ILTA) recently honored
CITGO Petroleum Corp. with its 2013
Safety Excellence Award at the organiza-
tion’s 33rd Annual Operating Conference
and Trade Show held in Houston.
To receive this prestigious award, a com-
pany’s reportable safety performance data for
the overall terminal workforce must achieve
an employee total recordable incidence rate
(TRIR) of 1.0 or less in the reporting year
in the “large terminal” company category, or
achieve an average TRIR of 1.0 or less based
on the multiple-years of data required to
meet its workforce size requirements, in the
“small terminal” company category.
“At CITGO, the safety of our employees,
contractors and neighbors always comes
first and once again this year, the CITGO
Terminal Facilities and Pipeline group has
been recognized for its unyielding com-
mitment to safety,” said Vice President of
Supply and Marketing, Gustavo Velasquez.
ILTA presents this recognition to the
year’s most exemplary performers based on
survey data for all domestic terminal opera-
tions. Additionally, each award candidate
must not have experienced any employee,
contractor or third party workplace-related
fatalities at its terminal or other operations
for the previous two years.
CITGO owns and/or operates 48 petro-
leum product terminals, which comprise
one of the largest networks in the country.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TAKES
CENTER STAGE AT CROWN
The spirit of volunteerism is alive and
well at Crown Boiler, with employees
helping out numerous organizations this
summer. Whether it’s spending time with
veterans at the local VA Hospital, refur-
bishing household items with Habitat for
Humanity’s ReStore, or making a kid’s day
brighter at St. Christopher’s Hospital for
Children, Crown employees are finding
way’s to give their time to those in need.
“When you’ve been in a community as
long as Crown has been in Philly, a real con-
nection grows,” Crown Boiler’s President,
Yale Steingard said. “As a company it’s great
to be able to give back to the area that has
helped our business be successful.”
Along with taking group office trips,
some employees are volunteering with
organizations they belong to at home.
Regional Sales Manager Bill Genes is a part
of his local Knights of Columbus council
and gives his time to the Boy Scouts as well.
Bill Liddell, Traffic Manager, is a board
member and VP of his hometown Civic
Association, helping to relay the concerns
of citizens to local government.
“It’s important that we strive to make
the community a better place,” said Yale,
“and we’re going to do everything we can
to return the support that Philadelphia has
given us over the years.”
CARRIER EARNS ‘PARTNERS
OF CHOICE’ AWARD
Carrier recently earned the “Partners
of Choice” Award from David Weekley
Homes, the largest privately-held home
builder in America. Carrier received an
“A” rating for Service, marking the first
time the company has been honored with
this distinction. This year, David Weekley
Homes recognized 24 companies with their
“Partners of Choice” Award from a total of
approximately 175 organizations.
NEW YORK PROPANE SUPPLIER EXPANDS
Combined Energy Services recently
hosted an open house and ribbon-cutting
ceremony at its new location in Goshen,
N.Y., – its third regional facility. Based in
Monticello, N.Y., Combined is a regional
energy supplier that is family-owned and
operated since 1968. The Goshen facility
is a propane gas distribution facility and
showroom for its AllGas and Welding
Supply Company division. Combined
delivers propane gas, fuel oil and kerosene
to customers in the Catskills, Hudson
Valley, eastern Pennsylvania and northern
New Jersey. It also provides around-the-
clock repair service.
