received approval to export LNG from this
facility to FTA countries on July 22, 2011.
Subject to environmental review and final
regulatory approval, the facility is condition-
ally authorized to export at a rate of up to 2.0
billion cubic feet of natural gas a day (Bcf/d)
for a period of 20 years. The Department
granted the first authorization to export LNG
to non-FTA countries in May 2011 from
the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron
Parish, La., at a rate of up to 2.2 Bcf/d, and the
second authorization in May 2013 from the
Freeport LNG Terminal in Quintana Island,
Texas, at a rate of up to 1.4 Bcf/d.
OESP PROMOTES 2014 ROADSHOW
The National Association of Oil &Energy
Service Professionals (OESP) has begun
promoting its 2014 Roadshow events, which
replace the annual tradeshow next year. The
association recently mailed an informational
packet and sign-up form to past attendees
for its May 12-13, 2014, event at Mohegan
Sun, in Connecticut. OESP is planning a
second roadshow event Sept. 22-23, 2014,
in Gettysburg, Pa. OESP is calling on its
member companies and partners to offer
training at the Roadshow events.
NBB REVAMPS NEWSLETTER FOR
PETROLEUM PROFESSIONALS
Petroleum industry professionals have
a new informational resource to keep up
to date on the biodiesel supply chain.
The Biodiesel Education Network (BEN)
Newsletter has had a makeover and is now
available electronically.
This quarterly
newsletter augments Ask BEN, the online
Biodiesel/Bioheat question-and-answer tool
(
.
Each quarterly issue will highlight
key biodiesel industry topics, including
technical, legislative, production, markets
and more. A Frequently Asked Question
and the answer will accompany each topic.
The newsletters will have embedded links
to additional information related to each
topic as well as PowerPoint presentations
with voice-overs.
“The fresh new format for BEN positions
education as a primary objective of the net-
work,” said Paul Nazzaro, petroleum liaison
for the National Biodiesel Board. “Better
information throughout the distributionchain
means smarter and stronger industry growth
and reliable results for biodiesel users.”
The newsletter will be delivered by
e-mail as an interactive PDF file that can be
read online or printed out. Industry partici-
pants can subscribe and download the latest
issue at AskBen.info.
