Corp. of Houston to seek federal approval
to expand the Algonquin Gas Transmission
pipeline in order to move abundant natural
gas supplies from Pennsylvania and across
the country,” the
Globe
reports, noting that
Kinder Morgan is also planning to add to
another pipeline system to serve the region.
Spectra Energy’s expansion, expected to
cost roughly $850 million, would add 340
million cubic feet per day to the region’s
gas capacity, a 14 percent increase, on the
Algonquin pipeline, according to the report.
It would replace or add approximately 40
miles of pipe along existing rights of way.

OESP, the National Association of Oil
and Energy Service Professionals, is offering
a fresh new take on the trade show in 2014.
The OESP Road Show will feature two
events, one in New England in May, and
another in Pennsylvania in September.
“OESP has been a reliable resource for
industry professionals for over 60 years,”
says Judy Garber, OESP Executive Director.
“Professionals find great value in their OESP
membership because we are as dynamic as
the industry we serve. We examine industry
trends and consult with members to ensure
that we continue to provide the educational
tools they need to be successful. The OESP
Road Show is an example of how we’ve
adapted to meet our member’s needs.
Lifestyles are not the same today as they
were 60 years ago, and it’s often challenging
and costly for professionals to be away for
many days. The OESP Road Show’s conve-
nient locations and streamlined format give
attendees greater flexibility. We will still
hold our traditional trade show in Hershey
from May 17-21, 2015, but look forward to
providing this new opportunity to exhibi-
tors and attendees.”
Unlike a regular trade show, the
OESP Road Show will feature two events.
Attendees can choose the date and location
that works best for them or attend both
events. The first event will take place at
Mohegan Sun in Connecticut from May
12-13, 2014 and the second event will be
held in Gettysburg, PA at the Wyndham
Hotel from September 21-23, 2014. The
OESP Road Show will also have a condensed
format with two full days of education and
networking. Social events will take place in
the trade show areas, giving attendees and
exhibitors the opportunity to discuss and
examine new products and technology.
OESP invites all industry professionals to
attend. Visit
or call
