The NEFI headquarters in Southborough, Massachusetts recently received a much-needed upgrade courtesy of the association’s generous supporters in the heating fuel and equipment industries.
Townsend Energy of Danvers, Massachusetts; Coan Heating & Air Conditioning of Natick, Massachusetts; boiler manufacturer Energy Kinetics of Lebanon, New Jersey; and equipment wholesaler F.W. Webb Company of Bedford, Massachusetts donated invaluable time, expert labor and best-in-class products to ensure the heating system upgrade was a complete success. As a result of their efforts, the NEFI Southborough office is now equipped with a state-of-the-art Energy Kinetics Resolute model boiler, Granby 220-gallon fuel tank, and Buderus panel radiator. The system runs on B25 Bioheat® fuel delivered by Coan.
“If we’re going to talk the talk on our industry’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it’s critical that we also walk the walk with higher-efficiency equipment running higher blends of renewable liquid heating fuel,” says NEFI President & CEO Sean Cota of the association’s decision to have the heating system at its Southborough office fully replaced. “NEFI is extremely thankful to Townsend, Coan, Energy Kinetics and F.W. Webb for their generous donations, which made this project possible.
“The hard work and selfless cooperation of all the parties involved exemplify the best qualities of the heating fuel industry and show yet again why it’s so important to continue fighting on behalf of this industry and its local, family businesses,” Cota added.
