Washington, DC, May 15, 2024 - The Executive Committee of the National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Collura as Acting President & CEO, effective immediately. Collura began his career in Washington, DC working for a prominent U.S. Senator from New Hampshire in 2003 and joined the NEFI team in 2005. During his more than 18 years with the association, he spearheaded its government program and related communications efforts. He most recently served as NEFI Vice President. "During his nearly two decades with this association, Jim Collura has become intimately familiar with the needs of its members and the challenges they face, and we believe he will excel in this interim role" said NEFI Board Chair Ray Hart of Hart Home Comfort. "I look forward to working closely with the officers, committees, and board, the talented staff, and the broader membership to address any immediate challenges and position the organization for continued growth and success," Collura said. "I appreciate the opportunity to help lead this remarkable organization during this transitional period." The announcement follows the resignation of President & CEO Sean Cota, who departed the organization for personal reasons last week. "Sean guided us with vision, leadership, and dedication," said NEFI Chair Ray Hart in a statement. "We are immensely grateful for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavors."
