Last week, NEFI attended two industry events, the Eastern Energy Expo (EEE) in Connecticut and the National Energy & Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) Annual Conference in Seattle.

The Eastern Energy Expo marked its 10th anniversary this year, once again drawing thousands of professionals from across the petroleum marketing and HVAC industries to the show's two-day trade floor and full schedule of business and technical education programs. NEFI used the week to reconnect with members in person, brief attendees on the legislative outlook in Washington, and hear directly from the businesses delivering fuel and service to homes across the Northeast.

On the opposite coast, NEFI joined utility assistance professionals, community action partners, advocates, and federal stakeholders at the NEUAC Annual Conference. Programming this year focused on responding to the deepening crisis in energy affordability, protecting and growing LIHEAP, supporting weatherization and energy efficiency programs, and building stronger partnerships between utilities and nonprofits to reach the households most at risk of energy insecurity.

These back-to-back conferences reflect the breadth of the issues our association is engaged in, from the daily issues our businesses face delivering fuel to homes across the Northeast, to the federal programs that keep that fuel affordable for the most vulnerable households.

We thank both EEE and NEUAC for the opportunity to participate, and we look forward to carrying the conversations from each event back to Capitol Hill in the weeks ahead.
