NEFI is challenging its members and supporters who have not yet contributed to its Industry Advocacy Fund in recent years to make an initial donation of at least $500 to help close the gap on the organization's 2025 fundraising goal.

As this issue of NEON was being published, NEFI remained $117,000 short of its target with just days left in the year.

"2025 was one of the most successful years in the history of our advocacy program," said NEFI President & CEO Jim Collura. "Together, we rolled back electrification mandates for trucks and homes, saved LIHEAP from elimination, advanced historic energy choice legislation in Congress, and averted potentially huge new tariffs on heating fuel imports."

Businesses that have supported the Advocacy Fund in prior years but have yet to donate for 2025 are encouraged to contribute at their established level or at an amount corresponding to their annual fuel volumes, as outlined in the 2025 Contribution Form.

Contributions can also be made by downloading and returning the PDF contribution form by mail or fax, or by requesting an invoice by emailing lisa.avery@nefi.com or calling (617) 924-1000.

Advocacy Fund contributions are not used to support political candidates, and therefore business funds are accepted. The Fund supports NEFI's government affairs, legal, and communications teams. A portion of the contribution is tax deductible as a trade or business expense under IRS Sec. 162(a).
