You are invited to participate in the 2026 HVAC Industry Legislative Conference and “Day on the Hill,” May 5-6 in Washington, DC.

The event is organized by the National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC), which represents plumbing and HVAC contractors; and the American Supply Association (ASA), which represents wholesale distributors, manufacturers, and manufacturer representatives in the plumbing, heating, cooling, piping, and industrial pipe-valve-fitting industries.

PHCC and ASA are seeking to broader participation given the opportunity to advance national energy choice legislation on Capitol Hill this spring. NEFI has built a strong working relationship with both organizations in recent years, and our policy agendas are closely aligned in these areas. The NEFI government affairs team, including President and CEO Jim Collura, will be participating in this event as well.

Even if you do not attend this event, we encourage NEFI members to consider making the trip to Washington this spring. Members of Congress and their staffs are eager to hear how the cold winter and ongoing energy market volatility have impacted their constituents and the businesses that serve them. In addition to the PHCC-ASA Legislative Conference, the Energy Marketers of America (EMA) Washington Conference is May 13-15 and the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) Propane Days is June 7-9. Members interested in those events should contact their state association for details. The important thing is to try and make one of these events if you are willing and able.
