NEFI has joined a broad coalition of agriculture, renewable fuel, and energy industry groups in urging President Trump to finalize the Environmental Protection Agency's pending Renewable Fuel Standard rule for 2026 and 2027.
The letter, led by Clean Fuels Alliance America, highlights that for the first time in the program's history, the EPA has proposed volumes that adequately reflect the investments made by America's farmers and renewable fuel producers. Citing the ongoing disruption to global oil markets, the letter states that finalizing the rule on time will result in much needed market certainty, increase supplies of domestically produced fuel, bolster national energy security, and support America's agricultural and heating fuel sectors.
