DOT Secretary Sean Duffy has posted a listing of the department’s accomplishments in the first year of the Trump Administration.
With regard to trucking regulations, the department noted it:

Issued out of service order to over 11,500 drivers failing to meet English proficiency standards;

Removed 7,500 CDL training schools from the Training Provider Registry for failing to meet federal standards’ and
-
Secured English proficiency compliance from state motor carrier safety enforcement agencies in 49 states.
As to spending efficiency, the notice provided:
Ending Waste and Eliminating Woke Priorities

Pulled billions in funding from the California high-speed rail project and offshore wind projects;

Cleared 50% of a 3,200-grant backlog; and
-
Obligated $9 billion to enhance safety, improve infrastructure, and unleash American innovation.
